Kimi on return to F1...
After one million and one denials that he could return to F1, Kimi Raikkonen now says maybe he's not done with the sport.
Raikkonen walked away from F1 at the end of the 2009 season after parting ways with Ferrari and failing to land a race-seat with a race-winning outfit.
Vettel is easy with P2 in Barcelona Qualifying
Although Sebastian Vettel's run of pole positions came to an end in Barcelona, the reigning World Champion insists it's not a "big disappointment."
Arriving in Spain, Vettel had a four-nothing record in qualifying for the season, however, his impressive run came to an end when his team-mate Mark Webber pipped him to the coveted grid slot by 0.200s.
Making the best of what we have.....
Although Michael Schumacher didn't achieve the third row grid slot he wanted in Spain, he is at least hoping to get some help on Sunday from his extra set of tyres.
Schumacher made it into the top-ten shoot-out for the second successive race weekend, however, was not able to better his previous high of P8.
FIA investigates Ferrari rear wing
A new rear wing introduced by Ferrari in Spain is having its legality investigated by the FIA ahead of qualifying in Barcelona.
FIA technical delegate Charlie Whiting said on Friday night: "We are aware of the developments on the Ferrari rear wing and are currently discussing it with them. It's a very clever interpretation of the rules and we have to decide whether we think it's a good interpretation."

Bernie says F1 could return to Austria
Bernie Ecclestone says Formula One could return to Austria after the A1-Ringtrack went through a major refurbishment.
Rivals look on as big four discuss future...
With Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes reportedly having met to discuss F1's future, smaller teams have called for the sport to pose a united front.
With the Concorde Agreement, the document by which Formula One is governed, set to expire in 2012, the sport faces an uncertain future.
Silverstone ready to unweil new wings....
The new pit and paddock complex at Silverstone is on the verge of completion.
Having secured a 17-year deal to host the British GP, the British Racing Drivers' Club commissioned the construction of a £27million 'wing' that is made up of hospitality suites, a media centre and a new spectator area, 41 garages, the race control building and the podium.
"It's been a bit of a rollercoaster getting here but we are finally up and running," BRDC president Damon Hill told Radio 4's Today programme.
"This year's grand prix and all the major international events will take place using the new facility.
"Silverstone has got a right to a permanent place on the calendar and so we hope this is a long-term thing that will make the circuit smart," he added.
Newey says puncture killed Senna.

Red Bull designer Adrian Newey believes that a puncture was the most likely cause of the crash that killed Aryton Senna and that it nearly made him leave F1.
Newey was the man responsible for the design of the FW16 that Senna was driving on the fateful day at Imola when the Brazilian legend was killed in a single-car accident.
The Briton admits that the incident has a tremendous impact on him, so much so that he still is unable to watch footage of the accident.

Barrichello unhappy with DRS in Monaco GP
Williams driver Rubens Barrichello believes the FIA has erred in agreeing to allow teams to use the Drag Reduction System at the Monaco Grand Prix.
DRS has proved to be very successful and has played a major role in the big increase in the number of overtaking moves so far this season. However, several drives raised concern about using the device in Monte Carlo later this month.Haug hopes Schumi will have fun in Barcelona
Michael Schumacher might feel it's all doom and gloom at the moment, but Mercedes-Benz motorsport boss Norbert Haug is convinced the German will soon have "fun" again.
Speculation is rife that the seven-time World Champion could quit the sport before his three-year deal runs out with Mercedes at the end of 2012 after he admitted the "big joy is not there right now".Bernie's reaction towards Turkey and Bahrain
F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone wants the Turkish GP to continue hosting races next year but is unlikely to do organisers any favors by slashing costs.
Speculation intensified that Turkey may not host a race next year after the head of Istanbul's Chamber of Commerce Murat Yalcintas - citing an increase in the fee to stage it - last month expressed reservations about bringing the sport back.Schumi must be asking himself questions...!!!
David Coulthard reckons Michael Schumacher has reached "the moment" when he realises he's no longer enjoying F1 racing.
With rumours circulating that Mercedes GP are lining up Paul di Resta to replace Schumacher at the end of this season, the German finished a disappointing P12 in Sunday's Turkish GP.Christian Horner praising Vettel

Pirelli reveals tyre allocations....!!!
Pirelli has announced that the soft and super softs will be used as prime and option tyres for the Canada GP in Montreal next month.
The super soft tyre is set to make its debut at the Monaco GP later this month.Lewis: It's like Schumi all over again
Lewis Hamilton has likened Sebastian Vettel's reign of dominance to the Michael Schumacher glory days.
Defending World Champion Vettel has opened a 34-point gap at the top of the Drivers' Championship after carrying his excellent form from the backend of 2010 over to this campaign. He has started all four grands prix this year in pole position and ended up victorious in three of the races.Herbert: Schumacher likely to quit in this season
Former F1 driver Johnny Herbert admits he would be surprised if Michael Schumacher is back on the grid next season.
Speculation about Schumacher's future as a Mercedes GP has gone into overdrive after the German admitted at the Turkish Grand Prix that he's not really enjoying racing right now.Bernie: Against sale of F1 to News Corp.
Bernie Ecclestone says selling Formula One to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp would be "suicide" for the sport.
Reports of Murdoch's intentions to purchase F1 from CVC continued throughout the Turkish GP weekend with FOTA chairman Martin Whitmarsh revealing that the teams would be willing to listen to his proposal.Saturday, May 7, 2011
Hamilton is dazzled by Mercedes and Ferrari......
Lewis Hamilton is adamant he's "in the fight" for the Turkish GP victory after qualifying in fourth place for Sunday's race.
The McLaren driver, the winner of the last grand prix in China, was one of the favourites to at least secure a spot on the front row of the Istanbul grid. However, he had no answer to the pace of the Red Bulls while Nico Rosberg also put his resurgent Mercedes GP ahead of the McLaren driver.
"It's not pole position but it's better than nothing," Hamilton told the BBC.
"We're starting on the dirty side, but we're in the fight.
"We're not far away but now you see the Mercedes have picked up their pace and also the Ferraris have.
"I'm looking forward to a strong race. It's a long one here but there are chances to overtake and it should be good."
The one thing, though, that Hamilton doesn't have which aided his climb to the top step of the podium in China is an extra set of the softer option tyres.
And that, he admits, could cost him this Sunday.
"We don't have an extra set, we went out, whether that was right or not I don't know."
More i pushed, More it went wrong.....Schumi says
Despite finally making it into the top-ten shoot-out in Turkey, Michael Schumacher was not happy with his P8 on the Istanbul grid.
Schumacher has struggled this season in qualifying, failing to get the best out of his Mercedes W02.
However, the team turned a corner in China and followed that up with a strong showing in this weekend's Turkish practice session.
Schumacher, in fact, finished Saturday's final session with the second fastest time, just 0.001s behind Sebastian Vettel.
But the German failed to turn that pace into a solid grid slot despite making it into the top-ten shoot-out for the first time this season.
"I'm not happy at all, being so far off, that's a bit unusual," he told the BBC. "It didn't really work out at all. The grip for whatever reason wasn't there compared to what I had this morning.
"I struggled already in Q2. The track certainly was better than it was this morning, but we couldn't reproduce what we did this morning. So, we need to understand what's going on.
"The more I pushed, the more things went wrong, and in the end there was no grip left."
Views of drivers about tukish GP Qualifying round
Sebastian Vettel claimed pole position in Turkish qualifying, finishing ahead of his team-mate, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton...
Red Bull:Sebastian Vettel: "I'm very happy. It was a bit funny in Q3 today, as both Mark and I decided we would skip the second run and so we finished earlier than normal. It was a strange feeling, as the other cars are on track setting times and you are in the garage watching - they might beat you, but you can only watch the screens and there's nothing you can do. It was an odd feeling but a good decision to save tyres for tomorrow's race. I messed up the car yesterday morning, so we missed the session in the afternoon, but the guys fixed it for today and I think they did a very good job. We have been up there with the times today, although we didn't have a trouble free morning and we had a bit to catch up. I like the track here which helps and it was nice to see that, without many laps, I was able to come back and find the rhythm, so all-in-all I'm very happy today."0

Mallya wants points in every race.....
Vijay Mallya has set his Force India team the target of scoring points in every race, confident his drivers have the ability.
Force India's 2011 campaign got off to the perfect start with both Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta bringing their cars home in the points in Australia.
Ross Brawn say "Mercedes is good" but....
Ross Brawn is adamant that Mercedes GP have a "fundamentally good car", they just need to "achieve its full potential."
Despite being billed as potential race winners ahead of the season-opening Australian GP, Mercedes GP failed to live up to expectations.
The team failed to reach the chequered flag in Melbourne while at the following race in Malaysia only Michael Schumacher succeeded in finishing in the points.
Bernie trying to save Turkish GP
Bernie Ecclestone is determined to see the Turkish GP remain a part of the F1 circus despite local officials saying they will not pay his increased fee.
This weekend's grand prix could be the last time F1 visits Turkey for several years as Ecclestone reportedly wants to increase the price of hosting the race from $13 million to $26 million.
"It (the government) found this figure very high, it looks like it will not make the payment," said Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Murat Yalcintas. "That is the reason the race is not happening."
Fia's statements on bahrain race reschedule
Formula One's governing body, the FIA, have refused to be drawn on when a decision will be taken over the future of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
It was reported on Monday that the deadline over the decision, originally set for yesterday, had been moved forward 24 hours.
When asked if the deadline had been moved, an FIA spokeswoman said: "As far as the FIA is concerned we do not have any information.
there will be a race in bahrain or not....Read out.....
Organisers of the Bahrain GP continue to live in hope that the race can take place later this year after the FIA granted an extended deadline to determine if a new date can be set.
Motor sport's governing body confirmed on Monday that organisers now have until June 3 - the date of the next FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in Barcelona - to prove that it can safely stage the event.
The Gulf Kingdom was originally pencilled in to host the opening grand prix of the 2011 season on March 13, but the race was postponed in February due to the civil unrest in the country.
The FIA originally announced a May 1 deadline to determine if the event could be rescheduled for later this year, but revealed on Monday that the deadline has been extended by a month.
Ferrari expect to be better in turkey....!!!
Ferrari will introduce a new front wing at the Turkish Grand Prix, but chief designer Nikolas Tombazis warns that it is unlikely that they will be in the position that they "should be".
The Scuderia have made a disappointing start to the 2011 campaign and Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa are yet to claim a podium position three races into the season. The team have also struggled with their pace in qualifying with Alonso claiming their best grid position of P5.
After a lengthy break between the Chinese Grand Prix and the upcoming Turkish GP, Tombazis feels they have improved.
"I think we will be closer, but I don't think in Turkey we will be in the position we should be in," Tombazis said in an interview with Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
F1 teams will face more strict custom checks
F1 teams will now face more stringent custom checks after a team truck from the Superbike World Championship was allegedly found carrying drugs through Dover last month.
According to the Daily Telegraph, "on board the Kawasaki Racing Team trucks, officers allegedly discovered 18lbs (8kg) of cocaine, 157lbs (71kg) of amphetamine tablets and more than 220lbs (100kg) of cannabis - as well as a handgun and 35 rounds of ammunition
The four technicians on the truck, which was from the Paul Bird Motorsport based in Lancashire, were arrested and later bailed.
The bust is set to have consequences for all motorsport teams, including those from Formula One.
A UKBA source the newspaper: "Our intelligence analysts will be looking much more closely at motorsport vehicles from now on, including Superbikes and even Formula One.
"They have been pulled over very rarely and that will now change."

Bernie and FIA at odds over renewal date of Behrain
Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA appear to be at odds over the deadline for a final decision on whether or not the Bahrain GP will be rescheduled.
The Gulf country was due to host the 2011 season opener on March 13, but the race was cancelled due to the ongoing political unrest.
F1's governing body originally told organisers they had until May 1 to decide whether the race could be rescheduled but Ecclestone on Thursday promised to give them until "early June or something like that".
Bahrain wants returns in F1 near future...!!!
The organisers of the Bahrain GP are keen to see F1 return to their circuit, however, are not sure if it will be this season.
The Bahrain GP was scheduled to take place in March but was postponed after political unrest swept through the island kingdom.
And although Bernie Ecclestone is determined to give the country until "early June or something like that" to resolve their issues, the Bahrain organisers concede their first priority must be to resolve the political issues within the country.
"We gratefully acknowledge the understanding of Formula One Management and the FIA in what have been difficult times," Bahrain International Circuit chairman Zayed Rashid Alzayani said in a statement.
F1 will get more intense...!!! Schumi says
Michael Schumacher believes Mercedes GP can build on their Chinese GP progress when they head to Turkey next weekend.
Schumacher's team-mate Nico Rosberg came to the fore last time out in Shanghai, claiming fourth place on the grid. The younger German eventually finished P5 after leading the grand prix for a number of laps.
It was, Schumacher is hoping, a sign of things to come.

F1's 2011 season Pridictions!!!!
It may not be a betting preview but if you want to know what's going to happen this season look no further than the PF1 crew's predictions.
Andrew Davies, Michelle Foster, Pete Gill, Shahida Jacobs and Julia Harris have given the verdict on what will (or at least so we think) happen this season. 01.Drivers' title
AD: Fernando Alonso. It'll be sweet FA for his third title. Ferrari are going to be starting the year stronger than they did last year and they really should have won last year. He also had an uncanny run of bad luck in 2010 - starting in Canada - which robbed him of a bizarre amount of points. This year he'll have a lot more competition from Felipe Massa - who will take more points off him than 2010, but the man from Asturias will prevail.
MF: Fernando Alonso. Not only is the 150° Italia looking to be really strong on qualy and race pace but I have to believe that Ferrari cannot fug it up twice in two years. And Alonso, whether you like him or not, is an extremely talented driver.
PG: Seb Vettel. These things come in two...
SJ: It's difficult not to go for Sebastian Vettel. Not because he will be the best driver on the track but because you just can't look pass the Adrian Newey factor. Fernando Alonso should be his main challenger as everything will be geared towards him. No doubt Massa has been told to toe the line.
JH: Vettel. Alonso may have the brawn (no, not him) but as the man himself said it's the driver with the fastest car that will take the Championship. Alonso will make some of the best moves but it will be Vettel who has the overall package to take the title.
02. Constructors' title
AD: Red Bull from Ferrari.
MF: Red Bull. While I would normally go with Ferrari, I worry that Felipe Massa won't come to the party.
PG: Red Bull. Massa the weak link to cost Ferrari.
SJ: Unless there's a mid-season meltdown or accusations of favouritism turn Mark Webber's head somewhere else, then Red Bull will walk it. The only things that kept them from wrapping up the title earlier last season were driver errors and reliability woes.
JH: Red Bull. Best car, great drivers, should be an unbeatable combination.

Hamilton says "He will beat Red Bull".
Lewis Hamilton is confident Red Bull will be overhauled at some point this season but admits it could be "several races" before that becomes a reality.
Hamilton and team-mate Jenson Button trailed in the wake of the in-form Sebastian Vettel in qualifying for Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix as the World Champion wrapped up the 18th pole of his career.
The German has largely had everything his own way in 2011, taking wins, setting fastest laps and earning pole positions at a canter, yet McLaren are just tenths of a second behind and leading the chasing pack.
Come the end of this weekend's race in Shanghai it will be time for F1 to return to its European heartland, where traditionally the speed of development moves up a gear.
And Hamilton, who qualified third in Shanghai, just behind Button, has warned the race to develop the cars off the track will soon become just as frenetic as the action on it.
Pirelli has revealed upcoming offerings
The Pirelli 'supersoft' tyre will make its debut at the Monaco Grand Prix in May.
The Italian tyre company have announced their line-up for the next three grand prixs, which will take place in Turkey, Spain and Monaco.
Hot and abrasive conditions in Turkey and Span see the 'hard' compound named the prime tyre which will be used for endurance running while the 'soft' compound will be the option tyre and used for faster laps.
The tight turns of Monaco mean that the 'soft' tyre is the prime option and the 'supersoft' - which will have red markings - will be the option tyre. Monaco will be the first time the 'supersofts' have been used.
"We've considered carefully all the circuit characteristics in order to help provide races as exciting as all the grands prix we have seen so far this year," said Pirelli's Paul Hembery.
"We're very much looking forward to Monaco in particular, where we will see the supersoft tyre in action for the first time. It's quite a different tyre to the rest of the range and should be very effective around the streets of Monte Carlo."

vettle beats hamilton to pole by tenth of a second
Defending world champion Sebastian Vettel will start from pole for Red Bull on Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix, after snatching the position from McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton by 0.174s right at the end of a great qualifying session.
Felipe Massa set the ball rolling for Ferrari in Q1 before Jenson Button went fastest for McLaren in Q2. But just as it seemed Hamilton had got things sorted with the first sub-1m 35s lap of the weekend at the end of Q3, with 1m 34.974s, Vettel pipped him with 1m 34.870s. Mark Webber will start third on 1m 35.179s in the other Red Bull, with Button fourth on 1m 35.200s.
On the third row, a disappointed Fernando Alonso could only coax 1m 35.802s out of his Ferrari, as Nick Heidfeld jumped up to sixth for Renault with 1m 36.124s. That pushed Massa down a place, on 1m 36.251s, while Vitaly Petrov took eighth in the other Renault on 1m 36.324s ahead of Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes on 1m 36.809s, and Kamui Kobayashi’s Sauber on 1m 36.820s.
Rosberg had aced Mercedes team mate Michael Schumacher in the dying moments of Q2, as the elder German got pushed down to 11th on 1m 37.035s. The well-matched Toro Rosso duo were next up, with Sebastien Buemi just beating Jaime Alguersuari, 1m 37.160s to 1m 37.347s. Paul di Resta did a super job for Force India, the rookie taking 14th place with 1m 37.370s ahead of Williams' Rubens Barrichello on 1m 37.496s, Sauber’s Sergio Perez on 1m 37.528s and team mate Adrian Sutil on 1m 37.593s.
Q1 saw Pastor Maldonado just fail to get through, Williams team mate Barrichello easing him out with 1m 38.163s to 1m 38.276s as Massa set the pace on 1m 36.744s from Hamilton and Alonso.
At one stage Heikki Kovalainen’s 1m 38.645s lap put him seventh, but the Lotus driver dropped back to 19th as he failed to improve. Nevertheless the closeness to Williams was a major fillip for Lotus, who had Jarno Trulli next up on 1m 38.791s.
There was a big gap to Timo Glock’s Virgin which stopped the clocks in 1m 40.648s, while Jerome D’Ambrosio’s 1m 41.001s in the sister Virgin was not far clear of Tonio Liuzzi’s 1m 41.549s in the lead HRT. Team mate Narain Karthikeyan was 24th on 1m 42.574s.
With a 107 percent time of 1m 43.516s, all 24 cars qualified.
The session was delayed briefly after Buemi’s left-hand sidepod cover departed his STR6, which was fifth fastest at the time, and landed on the back straight. It was soon removed.

Vettel will stay at Red Bull Racing until 2014
Red Bull have announced on Monday that Sebastian Vettel will continue to drive for the team until the end of the 2014 season. Last year, at just 23 years-old, Vettel became the sport’s youngest-ever world champion after scoring 10 pole positions, five victories and 256 points in the team’s RB6.
"The reason why I'll stay until 2014 with Red Bull Racing is that I feel very comfortable in the team," he told Red Bull's official website on Monday morning. "I am proud to be part of the team, and I am proud of what we have achieved so far and will achieve together in the future."

Six color codes differentiate Pirelli racing tyres.
As we all know that Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli has got the contract for supplying tyres for Formula One for a period of three years. The interesting part is that Pirelli has introduced a new system, it will use colors to distinguish six different types of rubber that will be used in Season 2011.
The six colours are as follows:
Wet - orange
Intermediate - light blue
Super soft - red
Soft - yellow
Medium - white
Hard-silver
In order to make the differences between the prime and option tyre more pronounced, Pirelli's strategy is to offer a step of at least one compound between the tyres nominated for each race. If the track conditions require it though, this strategy may be revised.
The prime and option tyres for the first three Grands Prix of the year - Australia, Malaysia and China - will be hard and soft compounds, meaning that silver and yellow tyres will be first to make an appearance in Melbourne.
"We' re very excited by the prospect of returning to Formula One for the first time in 20 years, and we're aiming to be a proactive and colourful partner in Formula One,” commented Pirelli's Motorsport Director Paul Hembery. “So what better way to symbolise this than a brightly coloured selection of Pirelli logos to run onthe sidewalls? These will enable both live and television audiences to tell at a glance who is on what compounds, which will be vital knowledge as tyres are set to form a key part of race strategy this year."
Pirelli is no stranger to brightly-coloured tyres: when the firm was previously involved in Formula One, the Benetton team was supplied with multi-coloured rubber to run as part of their ‘United Colors’ campaign back in 1986.
Each type of tyre will be recognized with the color of logo. As sports rules allow only two compunds known as prime and option, so these two will be used throughout the season. Intermediate and wet tyres can be fitted if it rains.
